Closing the communication loop by capturing responses
For the last 15 years, we’ve specialised in providing our customers with resilient, UK based mass communication services. What makes us different?
Notification vs communication
Business continuity messaging usually falls into two distinct categories – one-way notification or two-way communication. Notification systems can range from simple flood sirens to more complex automated email, voice call and SMS text services. The common goal however remains the same; to disseminate static information to a specific audience.
Communication systems on the other hand, provide a notification service with the added ability to capture responses from your audience. The goal here is not just to provide information, but to gather information about a potentially fast-moving or risky situation.
True two-way communication
Capturing detailed, meaningful, responses from your target audience allows you to make more accurate decisions about the way forward. But what do we mean by “responses”? Alert Cascade allows you to communicate with your contact lists by voice call, SMS text, email or any combination of these that suits your needs.
We know that not every situation is going to need the same level of interaction with your contacts; sometimes, a one-way notification might be all that is needed. Other times, you just need a yes/no answer from your staff. And occasionally (hopefully not very often), you will be dealing with a complex, evolving, emergency situation that requires equally complex responses from your teams. So, for every message you send, regardless of whether you are using voice calls, text messages, emails or all 3, you can choose from no reply needed, simple reply needed or full polling with the ability to set up to 10 pre-defined responses for your contacts to choose from.
Problem: Need to remind suppliers of your Christmas opening hours
Solution: Send a one-way notification with no reply needed
Problem: Need to know that everyone has received your message and knows the office is closed tomorrow due to flooding
Solution: Select simple polling and label the option as “Received and understood”
Problem: Need your on-call crisis team to attend the site urgently
Solution: Set up multiple-choice options to tell you how quickly your team members can get there
And whether you choose notification or communication, our real-time report suite gives you an instant snapshot of your current situation.
