A need for something better

How Alert Cascade began…

Having worked for competitors and seen how inadequate US products were for the UK market, we knew we could channel our on-the-ground experience of managing real incidents into something with genuine benefit, designed for everyday use.

Not just a product but a reliable service delivered with real integrity and honesty. Something that goes beyond the software to offer expert advice, so customers always felt supported and valued, knowing that their staff, organisation and reputation rested in the safest hands.

Value,
safety & reassurance
.

We poured decades of knowledge and first-hand experience into product development to produce an authentically resilient and agile system: a modern platform with a wide range of flexible and affordable solutions and a top-notch support service that would bring value, safety and reassurance to our customers.

A decade on, we are defined by the strength and longevity of our customer relationships, and our success is still measured by their satisfaction.

Accreditations.

ISO 27001:2017

ISO 27001 is an international standard on how to manage information security, and the standard is recognised worldwide as a proof that we are managing our information security in line with global best practices. Alert Cascade has been accredited to this standard since 2016, and continues to use the ISO 27001 framework to manage information security by addressing people, processes, and technology.

ICO

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the UK’s independent authority responsible for upholding information rights as the regulator for data protection laws, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals. As part of our GDPR and DPA compliance, Alert Cascade are registered on the ICO’s public register of UK Data Controllers.

FSQS

FSQS

The Financial Services Qualification System (FSQS) is a community of financial institutions including banks, building societies and investment services, collaborating to agree a single standard for supplier information and risk management. FSQS ensures a consistent and objective approach is taken to key risk areas including cyber security, data privacy, business continuity, financial crime, conduct risk, financial, legal and corporate responsibility. Alert Cascade are proud to have been FSQS accredited since 2019.

Penetration Testing

As part of our privacy by design approach, and in support of our various cyber security and data protection accreditations, we regularly engage external resources to independently test our applications via penetration testing and application scanning. All of our testers are CHECK and CREST approved, ensuring the testing is truly rigorous and conforms to UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) standards, as well as globally accepted best practice.

NHS Digital

The NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSP Toolkit) allows organisations to measure their performance against the National Data Guardian’s 10 security standards. Because of our extensive work with NHS organisations, we use this toolkit to provide assurance that Alert Cascade is practicing good data security and that personal information is handled correctly.

Cyber Essentials Plus

Cyber Essentials is a government backed and industry supported scheme to help protect organisations against a range of cyber attack risks. It provides a clear statement of the controls that organisations should have in place to protect themselves. Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification offered under the scheme, and our accreditation includes rigorous testing of Alert Cascade’s cyber security systems, including vulnerability tests by external cyber security experts.
