Enhancements to our Alert Cascade mass notification system
We've added some new features to Alert Cascade, making it easier for you to manage contact data and to make the most of your outbound messaging.
Allows you to securely store key documents within your Alert Cascade account, grant access permissions to members of your teams, and attach links to your stored documents within your messages. Documents can be stored in any file type, as long as the total file size does not exceed 4MB, meaning you can securely store disaster recovery fall back plans, site maps, COMAH cards or internal polices and procedures, within a secure UK hosted environment, ready for use with your mass notification service.
Allows you to create custom data fields within your account, and to capture additional relevant information about your contacts. Unlimited custom fields can be created, allowing you to expand the level of information you capture for your contacts, depending on the needs of your organisation. As soon as the field is created, the field will be available for use with existing contacts and any new contacts created in the future. There is no limit on the character set available with custom fields; numbers, letters and special characters are all available, meaning you can use custom fields to capture any type of data that is relevant to the way you use Alert Cascade.
Allows you to browse to your secure document library and insert your documents as links within your SMS and email messages. If you have saved the document in the "Public" area of your document library, anyone with the link can view the document, so this is ideal for general information that needs distributing quickly, to a wide audience. If you have saved the document in the "Private" area of your document library, contacts who click on the link will be asked to login to access your document - private documents usually contain more sensitive data and are sent to smaller, more specific groups of contacts. Using the document library and document links within Alert Cascade allows you to easily issue detailed instructions from any web enabled device, whilst the built in two way communication functions allow you to receive a response back from your contacts ensuring you know your message has been read and understood.
"Alert Cascade has been invaluable to PLC during recent business disruptions where effective, immediate and automated communications were required to contact staff out of normal business hours."
